MD Anna Cantagallo
Anna Cantagallo is a medical doctor (neurologist and physiatrist) and a clinical neuropsychologist who has been working in brain injury rehabilitation for over 25 years.
She is Senior Consultant for many Italian Centres of Rehabilitation and is professor of “Neuropsychological Rehabilitation” in the University of Padua, Turin, L’Aquila, Florence and Naples.
She has been the President of the Italian Scientific Society “Inter-professional Team in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation” (GIRN: Gruppo Inter-professionale di Riabilitazione in Neuropsicologia) from 2006 to 2014, and coordinator of the Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Section of the “Italian Rehabilitation Society” (SIMFER: Società Italiana di Medicina Fisica e Riabilitazione) since 2002 to 2015.
She has received many awards for her work from various bodies including the “Italian Rehabilitation Society” (SIMFER) and the SMAU “Italian Fear of Information and Communication Technology”.
She has published three books (“Executive Functions: assessment and rehabilitation” in 2010, “Consensus Conference on Neuropsychological Rehabilitation” in 2011, “The neuropsychological rehabilitation. An analysis based on evidence-based medicine method” in 2012, “Assistive Technology and Telerehabilitation” in 2014), over 80 journal articles and chapters, and 5 neuropsychological tests.
She is assistant editor of the journal “European Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation” (EJPMR).
In 2010, she founded, with Paolino Piccolo Eng., the BrainCare srl Company for Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, with many Clinic Centres and Clinic Points throughout the Italian territory. This franchising company offers wide-ranging methodologies in clinic and marketing, and cutting edge technology.
